I want to cultivate the leader within.
Seeing someone go from the first day, being clean and slightly nervous to thrilled and comfortable outdoors is one of my favorite things. I love being a part of someone’s introduction to the outdoors.
After graduating from Ursinus College with a degree in business, I became an investment banker. However, I realized money is not my prime motivator and I wanted a more inspiring career. I love what I am doing now and often think I would do it even if I wasn’t being paid! I am rewarded by the growth I see in young people and how I get to grow as a leader and a person.
The community of people at BOLD & GOLD is amazing. I love the great conversations that happen on the trail and around the campfire, how participants learn to care for each other, and that this is a place to try new things without judgement. To see them come back for another program and get to know the families is also really special. In our own way, groups become a family on trail and that promotes a special kind of safe space that I think leads to helping bring the world together.
My parents were both in the army and I grew up moving around a lot so I learned to fish, hunt, and explore in many areas of the country. That’s when I developed my appreciation for nature. I am fortunate to be able to work in the outdoors full-time. I spend my free time rock climbing, skiing, mountaineering, and cooking.
