Grow as a leader while exploring the enchanting mountains of western North Carolina!

BOLD & GOLD adventures give youth the opportunity to explore the beauty of nature, find the confidence to tackle any challenge, and inspire each other to be the best version of themselves. We explore some of the most beautiful and pristine wilderness areas in the Appalachian Mountains, through overnight backpacking, rock climbing, or river rafting. We partner with local Ys and other youth organizations to offer these incredible opportunities to grow multicultural leaders in diverse groups.

Since 1906, YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly has been a place where youth can develop their relational and leadership skills. Several YMCAs and other groups around the Southeast use our site for their annual conferences and teambuilding events.

Expand the learning

If you’re already bringing a group of youth here for an event, why not add on a BOLD & GOLD trip to your experience in the mountains? We have all the gear and well-equipped instructors. All you need to bring is a group of middle or high school youth and a spirit of adventure.
